This text discussed a lot of different perspectives of Orientalism. Many groups of people viewed Orientalism in different scopes. Through the photographs, they tried to capture the history and figures that resembled Orientalism. During the 19th century, orientalists and the West were viewed as different, and through photography, they showed inconsistencies. It was agreed upon that orientalism inst power, it is aesthetics and relationships. A huge theme discussed was the realism of the photographs resembling the view of Orientalism. It took a long time for the author to discuss the photographs, and he really only talked about orientalism for the first 6 pages.
